How to Make a Classic Dirty Martini
Alright my friends it's time to discuss a pretty hot topic: The Classic Dirty Vodka Martini.
Cocktails tend to pack more juicy or boozy notes, but I love that a dirty martini leans into the savory side, so when executed properly, it's a really crisp almost poetic experience (and let’s not forget the little snack that comes along with it).
I wasn't always someone who loved this drink — vodka used to remind me of my early drinking days. And olives… well, I just wasn't an olive girl. But my palate, along with my college drinking habits, have matured in recent years. Now a dirty vodka martini is my go-to drink when I crave a crisp cocktail after work or want to feel classy at dinner with friends.
The beauty of this drink is that it doesn’t require many ingredients, just the right (quality) ones. It really comes back to those bar cart essentials.
I've managed to transform vodka from something I drank out of desperation to something I genuinely enjoy as an adult. All it takes are a few staples that you probably have on hand and a bit of practice to make this a balanced drink you will actually enjoy.
Lets get shakin’.
