How To Make An Amaro Spritz

AMARO SPRITZ EDIT-06_2NDPASS.jpg

The internet is a confusing place, one second you're looking for an easy beverage recipe, and the next thing you know you're spending an abundance of money on obscure ingredients for one drink THAT YOU WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. I love a creative/ fancy/ whimsical drink. But I also love accessibility. I’m here to show you that as long as you have a few essentials in your home, you’re able to create any drink at any time.

A Spritz is the best drink to start with because they exemplify this exact principle of ease. Their ratio is simply 3:2:1 (easy enough, right?) and it all gets mixed up in the glass.

Everyone knows Aperol spritz, it's one of the most popular mixed cocktails out there. But by swapping out Aperol for an amaro (I use Averna) in this beverage, it brings another dimension without complicating the technique. Amaro is a digestive, meaning it’s usually consumed at the end of a meal to help complete your round it all out. The way you would drink a hot tea or coffee, it has those same warming elements.

So 3,2,1…lets get into it!
